Channel points are earned by viewers on Kick and Twitch — thump neither hands them out nor changes how they are earned. What thump adds is a reward shop: spending points triggers a specific action, from a timeout to a code you hand over yourself.
In the dashboard go to Channel points. You will see a grid of rewards — empty until you add one.
The name and description are what the viewer sees on Kick or Twitch. You pick the action type once, at creation, and cannot change it later: Timeout, Grant VIP, TTS (the bot reads out the message typed in), Manual fulfillment (a code, a lootbox — you hand it out yourself) or Feed the pet.
Timeout and VIP have a duration or a "permanent" option. A timeout requires the viewer to type the target's nickname, so that reward asks for a message at purchase. Moderators and VIPs are protected from timeouts by default — separate toggles lift that — and the broadcaster and the bot can never be timed out at all.
Kick and Twitch have separate price fields, because they have separate point currencies. Platforms, like the action type, are fixed at creation. Grant VIP works on Twitch only — the Kick API does not expose VIPs.
Manually fulfilled rewards do nothing automatically: redemptions land on the reward card, in the "to fulfill" queue, with the nickname and whatever the viewer typed. When you mark an entry as fulfilled, the redemption is also confirmed on the platform's side — and that step cannot be undone on Kick or Twitch.
A reward is created in thump first and only then on Kick and Twitch. The badge means the second part failed — most often because the platform account is disconnected. Check the connections in settings and add the reward again.
Kick does not expose VIPs in its API, so this action is available on Twitch only. If you try to add Kick, the dashboard removes that platform from the reward itself.
If the action fails — no nickname in the message, a typo, or a target protected as a moderator or VIP — the redemption is rejected and the points go back to the viewer. thump does not fake success.
