How to add thump widgets to OBS

Everything thump shows on stream — the giveaway, the song queue, TTS, the subathon, birthdays, events and the pet — is an ordinary page you paste into OBS as a browser source. There is nothing to install and no separate plugin.

Step by step
  1. Copy the widget link

The dashboard has a Widgets tab with links to the giveaway, song request, TTS, events and birthday widgets. You copy the subathon widget from the Subathon page — each mode there (clock, rates, top contributors, recent, stats) has its own link — and the pet widget from the pet page.

  2. Add a browser source in OBS

In OBS click + in the Sources panel, choose "Browser" and paste the copied address into the URL field.

  3. Set the size

Enter a size matching your scene, for example 1920×1080. Widget backgrounds are transparent, so the source can sit on top of your camera and gameplay.

  4. Route the audio for TTS

The TTS widget draws nothing — it is purely an audio source. Tick "Control audio via OBS" in its settings to get a volume slider in the mixer.

  5. Check the language

Widgets speak whatever language the channel has set for the bot. If a particular source should speak differently, append ?lang=en (or pl, de, es) to the address.

Common problems

The widget is empty

That is usually a normal state, not a fault: the subathon clock does not draw without a started subathon, the song-request overlay hides on pause, and the giveaway widget waits for an active giveaway.

I see a white background instead of transparency

Check that the source really is a "Browser" source and not an image or a window capture. If the page did not load, click "Refresh" in the source settings.

The widget shows the state from before my change

Widgets pick up changes live, but after a longer break in connectivity the quickest fix is to refresh the source in OBS.

Is the widget link secret

There is no password or token in it — only the channel name, and the widget shows nothing you are not already showing on stream. Still treat it as a public address and do not paste it into chat.

This feature is part of thump — the dashboard for Kick and Twitch streamers and TikTok and Instagram creators.
