Song requests are a queue of tracks viewers fill with YouTube links using a chat command. The player runs in the dashboard, and on your OBS scene you show an overlay with whatever is playing.
In the dashboard go to Song requests and enable the feature with the toggle at the top of the page. While it is off the bot ignores every command from this section.
"Minimum role" decides who can request: any viewer, a sub, a VIP or a moderator. Next to it you set the maximum track length in minutes and the maximum number of tracks one person can have queued at once (two by default). Zero in either field means "no limit".
The command is !sr followed by a YouTube link, for example !sr https://youtu.be/… — we accept links only (Shorts included), not titles to search for. Viewers also have !song (what is playing), !when (when their track comes up) and !wrongsong (retract their own last request). Song-request command names are the same in every language.
In the song-request settings you can point to a channel-points reward. A viewer redeems it and pastes the link into the message field — the track joins the queue exactly as it would from the command.
The player lives on the Song requests page: next to the queue you have a volume slider, skip, deleting entries, a history with a re-add button, and a field where you paste a link by hand — including a whole playlist address (the import takes up to thirty entries). Moderators can steer it from chat: !skip, !volume 0-100, !srclear, !srplay and !srstop.
Copy the song-request widget link and add it in OBS as a browser source. The overlay shows the thumbnail, the title, who requested it and a progress bar — and hides itself when nothing is playing.
Tracks are played by the dashboard in your browser, not by the widget — the widget is only an overlay with the title. Make sure the browser audio gets into OBS, and do not close the tab with the player.
The overlay only shows while the dashboard player is genuinely playing. A pause, a closed tab or a sleeping computer hide it after a dozen or so seconds.
Either song requests are off, or the viewer does not have the required role — below the minimum role the bot deliberately stays silent instead of filling chat with refusals.
The import handles ordinary playlists. Mixes and radios (addresses with list=RD… or list=UL…) are not playlists and cannot be fetched — paste a single video instead.
